Cadiz Man Charged With Burglary And Violating An Emergency Protective Order

A Cadiz man was charged after he reportedly barricaded himself in a home with someone that had an emergency protective order against him Friday afternoon.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say 40-year-old James Sanders broke into the home and would not come out when requested by law enforcement.

He reportedly told deputies he was sleeping but called a family member and was watching law enforcement on the TV through security cameras.

Sanders has been found to have violated the emergency protective order several times in the past. He is charged with second-degree burglary, resisting arrest, and violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order.
