Chamber Joins Western Kentucky State Fair In Saying Thanks To Military

The Military Affairs Committee of the Christian County Chamber and the Western Kentucky State Fair are saluting members of the military with free admission and other discounts at Wednesday’s fair.

Military Affairs Committee Chairman Bill Chaudoin says the fair is saluting the military with $1 admission with a military id every day, but admission will be free Wednesday night.

click to download audioFairboard member Tony Meacham says 2,215 visitors passed through the gates at the fair Tuesday night, with the total attendance just over 23,400.

Gates open Wednesday afternoon at 4:00, with the midway opening at 5:00. Activities include the sheep show at 6:00 at the livestock pavilion, a concert by Nature Walk at the gazebo, and trivia night inside the convention center.
