2021-22 Christian County Leadership Class Named, Ready To Learn

The 2021-22 Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County class was named over the weekend.

This year, the class is led by Wende Aldridge, an employee with the Hopkinsville Police Department, and Lucas Stagner, who works with the Hopkinsville Fire Department. Both were on hand Saturday night to introduce the class before the Hoptown Hoppers baseball game.

Aldridge tells the News Edge there are 25 members in the class.

Aldridge says the full class will start meeting on August 6 for a retreat, and each month through May, the class will participate in a day of special activities.

Each class will learn more about agriculture, the military, government, among others. Aldridge adds this year, they will host a community impact day for the November session.

New for this year’s class, a trip to Frankfort for the state chamber day in January.

During the class, the group will come up with a Christian County charity they will collectively donate to while also completing a community service project.

The class is sponsored by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce and will graduate in May.
