A Hopkinsville woman was charged with assaulting a deputy after wrecking her vehicle in Cadiz Saturday afternoon.
Cadiz police say Kellniqua Acree struck the Ferrells Hamburgers building in Cadiz before hitting a car head-on on Main Street and fleeing the scene.
Trigg County sheriff’s deputies say Acree was located after her vehicle ran off the road, hit a tree, and overturned East Noel Drive.
She reportedly assaulted a deputy before she was tased and taken into custody.
No one was injured in the wreck, and deputies say Acree is being charged with third-degree assault with more charges are pending.
The crash happened just before 6 pm.
