Extended Closure On Portion of KY 164 In Trigg County Begins August 30th

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans an extended closure along KY 164/Roaring Springs Road in southern Trigg County starting Monday, August 30.

Spokesman Keith Todd says Roaring Springs Road will be closed for about three weeks to allow the replacement of the existing Casey Creek Branch Culvert near the 19-mile marker, between KY 139/South Road and Delmont Church Road.

Todd says the Trigg County Highway Maintenance Crew will replace the existing culvert with a new culvert that will be a 25.5-foot arch span with a 10 foot – two-inch stream clearance.

There will be no marked detour, but motorists can self-detour via KY 525/New Hope Road and KY 139/South Road.

According to Todd, 550 vehicles travel this section of Roaring Springs Road in an average day.

The target completion date is September 22, 2021, weather permitting.
