Christian County Sheriff DeArmond Seeking Re-Election

Christian County Sheriff Tyler DeArmond officially announced Monday afternoon that he will seek re-election for another term in the 2022 election.

DeArmond first served at the Hopkinsville Police Department for 15 years before he was elected sheriff of Christian County in 2018. In making his announcement, he said it has been an honor serving as the Sheriff of Christian County. DeArmond went on to say he has been blessed with great support by the citizens of Christian County and it’s his hope they will continue to allow him to apply his years of experience and knowledge, as he seeks re-election.

Sheriff DeArmond also said it is his priority to continue to be community-first, while forming partnerships and working as a team to make Christian County a safer place. He noted over the past three years the sheriff’s office has implemented community relation events such as Lunch-Mobs at elementary schools, Trunk or Treat, as well as the first-ever Christian County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy. In addition, he said every deputy now has a body camera.
