Man And Woman Injured In Christian County Fiery Crash

A wreck on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County sent a man and woman to the hospital Sunday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a truck was southbound around the 18-mile marker when it struck a deer then hit a guardrail and traveled off the roadway.

The truck came to a stop in a ditch and caught fire. The driver and passenger were able to get out of the vehicle before emergency personnel arrived.

The driver and passenger were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what deputies say are non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened around 4 am. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Crofton Fire Department, Highland Fire Department, Christian County Rescue, and Christian County EMS.
