Hopkinsville Man Charged In Nashville Shooting

A Hopkinsville man was charged in connection to a shooting on Dickerson Pike in Nashville Tuesday.

Nashville Police say 20-year-old Isaiah Burr used a dating app profile to contact women as a part of a robbery scheme that led to the shooting death of 20-year-old Chanya Sherill.

She was reportedly found Saturday night critically injured lying on the ground outside her car after it hit the Bank of America building.

Police say she was transported to Skyline Medical Center where they discovered a gunshot wound to her head.

Burr was located at his mother’s house in Hopkinsville and charged with attempted criminal homicide in the Nashville case and he also has active, outstanding warrants in Indiana and Kentucky.
