Gubernatorial Candidate Alan Keck Speaks at Town Hall Meeting in Princeton

Republican Gubernatorial candidate and two-term Mayor of Somerset Alan Keck stopped in Princeton for a town hall meeting with local residents Wednesday evening.

In an interview with the News Edge at the Carriage House on the grounds of the Adsmore Museum, Keck said the town halls provide Kentuckians a way to get to know him and his platform, as well as time for residents to voice their own concerns.

click to download audioIf elected governor and to ensure that all parts of the state are not forgotten, Keck said he will continue to listen to the concerns of all Kentuckians. He cited the scripture “we need to be slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to listen” and, Keck said, he believes the best leaders are the best listeners because they understand there is wisdom in a multitude of counsel.

Keck expressed that it has been an honor “of his lifetime” to get to serve and lead his hometown of Somerset as mayor, and he would be equally honored to serve and lead our Commonwealth.

The gubernatorial candidate has been canvassing the Commonwealth, holding town hall meetings and meet and greets including stops in Marion and Madisonville.
