Wind Causing Power Outages Across South Western Kentucky

As of 2 PM Monday and per reported outages from Pennyrile Rural Electric, more than 500 people were without power in Trigg, Christian, Todd, Logan, Caldwell and Muhlenberg County — heavy winds playing a critical role.

Bigger outage pockets include parts of Rockcastle Road, Nickys Lane and Ramseyers Lane in Trigg County; Wallace Park Road, Gracey Sinking Fork Road, Idlewild Spur and Stokes Road in Christian County; Watermelon Road and Pea Ridge Road in Todd County; and Concord Road, and near Dunmore in Logan County.

The Paducah office for the National Weather Service has already reported a number of municipalities have been experiencing impressive wind gusts.

This includes Marion at a region-leading 61 mph, Hopkinsville at 56 mph, Madisonville between 49-55 mph, Fort Campbell 51 mph, Princeton between 47-51 mph, and Greenville at 48 mph.
