On Thursday, the Trigg County High School Technology Student Association teams competed at the Regional Murray State Engineering Competition.
Out of the over 500 students and 18 schools from around the region, Trigg County students took home several awards:
- 1st Place: Guitar Design, Model, and Sound – Caleb Coots, Nick Hammond, Skyler Bacon, & Makoto Hiter
- 1st Place: Survival Shelter Design, Build, and Sustainability – Jacob Hunter, Reid McCormick, Shane Wallace, Timmy Cannon, Cam McCormick, & James Garnett
- 1st Place: Civil Tower Build and Weight – Ashley Geary & Sarah Sink
- 1st Place: Senior Design Presentation and Prototype – Gauge Wade
- 1st Place: CO2 Printed Car – Gauge Wade, Braxton Hargrove, Joel Hunter, & Noah Grinols
- 3rd Place: Senior Design Presentation and Prototype – Ava Scheer & Olive Hyatt
- 3rd Place: Physics Mechanical Systems – Brandon Moser & Luke Terrell
Trigg County also took home two school awards: Best Overall and Largest Contingency.
