With west Kentucky’s recent battles against severe weather, and more soon to be on the way, Ninth District Representative Myron Dossett has a bit of advice for those who may need repairs done in the coming weeks.
Document your damage and take your time hiring the right repair crew, because there are a number of individuals who thrive on fraudulent efforts during natural disasters.
A big reason to document all damages, he said, is so renters and property owners can cross reference expectations with insurance adjustors and repair services — and so one doesn’t get hoodwinked.
Dossett said it’s understandable families and businesses want to “get back to a semblance of normalcy” as quick as possible, but asking questions and being patient pays dividends.
