Congressman Comer Announces 2023 1st District Congressional Art Competition Winners

Jasmine Larkins, of Christian County High School – ‘Derby Hat’

Congressman James Comer announced Monday that two Christian County High School students were winners in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District’s 2023 Congressional Art Competition.

Jasmine Larkins was the overall winner with her drawing titled ‘Derby Hat.’ It will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.

Addison Piatt, of Christian County Public School – ‘First Female to Orbit the Moon’

Addison Piatt came in second place with a pencil portrait titled ‘First Female to Orbit the Moon.’ Her artwork will be prominently displayed in Congressman Comer’s Washington, D.C. office.

Jesse McClain, of Washington County High School – ‘School Sports One Ball at a Time’

Jesse McClain, of Washington County High School, came in third place with a chalk pastel drawing titled ‘School Sports One Ball at a Time.’ McClain’s work will be on display in Congressman Comer’s Tompkinsville office.
