Man Charged With Threatening People With A Gun

A Baytown, Texas man was charged after allegedly pointing a gun at several people and threatening them on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for 34-year-old Cordell McGregor, threatening people at a hotel with a gun.

When they arrived he was reportedly seen threatening to shoot another man and he was found to have marijuana on him and the odor of alcohol coming from him.

Police say a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle and after a search an open bottle of Crown Royal and drug paraphernalia were found.

When officers attempted to do a field sobriety test with him he reportedly said “I’m retarded and my legs don’t work”. Police say while at the jail he attempted to fight jail staff and was tased.

He is charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication, DUI, and possession of more than one operator’s license.
