Woman Charged With Threatening Her Son With A Knife

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with wanton endangerment after a report of a woman chasing a man with a knife on Tennessee Avenue in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 54-year-old Candy Leedom got into an altercation with her son as he was removing his property from the home and she threatened him with a knife and he struck her with a small metallic box in self-defense.

Witnesses reportedly told police she had been using meth earlier in the day. She was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
