Dr. Robert Burgess Bressler, 72, of Hopkinsville, KY died Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Spicer officiating. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Chicago, IL he was born November 25, 1950, the son of the late Bernard Bressler and Elizabeth Burgess Bressler. He was an allergist-immunologist that operated a private practice in both Hopkinsville, KY, and Clarksville, TN. He was board certified in Immunology and Internal Medicine and was a member of many medical associations. Dr. Bressler was active in the community and an avid supporter of many local organizations and sports teams. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife: Jill Bressler; his children: Elizabeth Burgess Bressler of Boca Roton, FL, Robert Burgess Bressler, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, and Dr. Celia Robertson Bressler of Lexington, KY; his siblings: Rev. Barbara Marques of Richmond, VA, Dr. Peter Bressler of Durham, NC, Dr. Garrett Bressler of Durham, NC, and Bernly Bressler of Richmond, VA; his stepmother: Dr. Joy Bressler of Richmond, VA; and his brother-in-law: Stephen (Lois) Robertson of New Windsor, Maryland.
