Beshear Announces $500K Coming To PACS

Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS) will be among ten rural Kentucky transit agencies receiving funding from the Federal Transit Administration.

During his Team Kentucky update Thursday, Governor Andy Beshear announced that PACS would receive $400,000 in federal dollars and $100,000 from the state to construct a new transit administrative/maintenance facility.

That funding is among the $11.5 million in federal monies, with an additional $2.9 million coming from the state to be distributed for various projects.

The funding will be distributed by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. PACS serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Logan, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Trigg counties.
