“Level Orange” Air Quality Alert Monday For Trigg & Christian

Air Quality Map from AirNow.gov

Smoke from wildfires in Canada is again causing an Air Quality Alert across portions of western Kentucky and middle Tennessee Monday.

The alert, in effect from Midnight Sunday to Midnight Monday, was issued by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for Trigg and Christian counties in Kentucky and Stewart and Montgomery counties in Tennessee.

A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that the general public is likely not affected by the conditions.

Active children and adults and those sensitive of outdoor conditions because of respiratory diseases, such as Asthma, should limit their time outside.
