Earl E. Cansler, Sr., 92, of Hopkinsville, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Sinking Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Christian County, he was born January 1, 1931, the son of the late Geffer Eugene Cansler and Ruby Pyle Cansler. He was the owner and operator of Cansler Excavating Company, LLC.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wives Mary Sherlene Cansler and Odell Cansler and sisters Imogene Holman and Margie Green.
Survivors include his sons: Gene (Debbie) Cansler of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and Jeff (Debby Harris) Cansler of Hopkinsville; grandchildren: Nick (Slone) Cansler; Ashley (James Ross) Wells; Margo Wood; and Charley Oxford. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sinking Fork Baptist Church.
