Cadiz Woman Indicted For Stealing From Trigg Arrowcat Program

indictment-2-28

A Cadiz woman has been indicted on charges she used a Trigg County Archery debit card to make over $26,000 in unauthorized purchases over 18 months.

46-year-old Melissa Rogers was charged with Theft over $10,000, which is a Class C Felony. She is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court on Wednesday.

According to the Cadiz Police Department investigation, Rogers possessed an archery club debit card and made 879 unauthorized purchases between November 2021 and July of this year totaling over $26,000.

The report said the archery club was made aware of the thefts when the bank notified them that their account was in arrears.

The archery club account held the Arrowcats’ fundraising efforts and club fees to pay for archery expenses and is not maintained by the school.
