Robert ‘Bob’ Alexander, 89, of Spring Hill, Tennessee

Funeral services for 89-year-old Robert “Bob” Alexander, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and a native of Trigg County, will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 2, at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery in Cadiz.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the funeral hour.

Survivors include:
Wife of 64 years, Cleta Alexander, of Spring Hill, Tennessee;
Son, Bentley Alexander and wife, Jennifer, of Howe, Texas;
Daughter, Gaye Pike and husband, Paul, of Spring Hill, Tennessee;
Two sisters, Betty Estes, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Linda Caldwell, of Cadiz;
Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He died at 1:33 AM, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at The Reserve at Spring Hill in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

He was born April 2, 1934, in Cadiz, to Harvey T. and Pocahontas (P’Poole) Alexander.

He served in the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Korea from 1955-1957. He married Cleta Atnip on September 5, 1959, in Calvert City, Kentucky, where they lived for 34 years.

Alexander was a graduate of Murray State University receiving a degree in business administration and a master’s in Education. The majority of his professional career, he was as an educator in the Paducah and McCracken County schools, having retired from teaching in 1991. Bob was a long-time member of the Calvert City Church of Christ, serving as an elder for many years, and for the last 30 years was a faithful member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Franklin, Tennessee.
