GOOD NEWS – Mitchell Moore Wins Second PGA Teacher Award

Hopkinsville golf pro Mitchell Moore has been recognized by the Kentucky PGA for the 2024 Teacher and Coach of the Year, which recognizes a PGA pro who is an outstanding teacher among the ranks of PGA membership.

Moore’s dedication to teaching the game of golf is evident through his teaching summit webinars, and over 1,000 lessons given annually for the past eight years. Moore’s success can be gauged through the number of high school region champions under his tutelage over that time.

As a four-time Golf Digest award winner, he has made significant contributions to the teaching and coaching world. Mitchell has expanded his reach through his online lesson business and by enhancing the staff at the Mitchell Moore Golf Academy to better develop his players.

With a strong online presence, Mitchell has amassed over 3,000 posts and followers on various social media platforms. His YouTube channel features over 75 videos dedicated to teaching and coaching. He has successfully coached numerous professional, collegiate, and amateur golfers, while also serving as a mentor to aspiring teaching professionals.

It’s the third time Moore has been honored by the Kentucky PGA. He received the PGA Teacher Award in 2020 and the Player Development Award in 2022.

Moore is the PGA pro at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
