The search is on for a new assistant superintendent of Todd County Public Schools.

The district announced Friday morning that Dr. Wendy Duvall has been named the next superintendent of Owensboro Public Schools. The Owensboro district added Dr. Duvall will assume the interim role through June 30 and officially be named Superintendent July 1.

Dr. Duvall told Your WEKT News Edge she’s excited for the next adventure.

Dr. Duvall makes the transition after spending the last three years with Todd County Schools and spending 14 years as the principal of Hopkinsville Middle School. She spent the early part of her career as a middle school math, science, and social studies teacher in Tennessee and Kentucky before making the jump to Hopkinsville High School where she served as the school’s curriculum specialist and English teacher for a year.

Dr. Duvall’s last day with Todd County Schools is Sunday, May 26.
