The third annual Jobs Fest is coming to the Hopkinsville Sportsplex early next month.

Western Kentucky Workforce Board Business Liaison Tom Sholar said the event will take place Thursday, May 2, and looks to educate area high school seniors who are looking for a job or a career.

Sholar added that going to college is not for everyone and this event will help those who need a job right out of high school.

Additionally, Trigg County will host a similar event a week before on Thursday, April 25, at the Way Christian Youth Center. The event is hosted by the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce and will start at 8:30 AM.

Sholar said there are over 700 job opportunities in the three-county region. Companies who are interested in participating in the Hopkinsville event can contact the Western Kentucky Workforce Board on their website. Participants of the Trigg County event must sign up at TriggChamber.com.
