Woman Charged With Possession Of Drugs During Traffic Stop

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with possession of drugs during a traffic stop on South Vine Street Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle for an improper signal violation and found a passenger in the vehicle 47-year-old Angela Hampton had active warrants for probation violation and non-payment of court costs.

While being arrested, she reportedly dropped a $5 bill containing cocaine.

She is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and tampering with physical evidence.
