Woman Charged With Wanton Endangerment After Crash

A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she was seen speeding and driving recklessly on East 7th Street Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they observed a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Juana Menjivar traveling at a high rate of speed and disregarding a stop sign causing a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of South Campbell Street.

During the investigation, it was found that she did not have a driver’s license and the 2-year-old child in the vehicle was not restrained in a car seat.

She was arrested and charged with disregarding a stop sign, reckless driving, no operator license, second-degree wanton endangerment, and failure to use a child restraint device in a vehicle.
