A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted his brother on Dusty Lane in Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 40-year-old Matthew Mitchell got into a fight with his brother on the front porch of the home leading to his brother suffering a severe neck injury.
The brother was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health to be treated for his injuries.
Mitchell was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. 53-year-old Anthonette Fischer who was involved in the altercation was also arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
