Six Percent Of Christian County Voters Turn Out For Primary

A light ballot attributed to a light voter turnout in Christian County Tuesday for the Primary Election that included races for President and Ward City Council races in Hopkinsville.

According to unofficial results from the Christian County Clerk’s office, 3,028 or six percent of the more than 50,000 registered voters in the county voted early or on Tuesday in the primary.

Christian County Clerk Melinda Humphries says the small ballot may have discouraged voter participation.
