A Hopkinsville woman was charged with attempted burglary after a report of a burglary in progress on Tennessee Avenue Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 53-year-old Monnie Sloan tried to break into the home using a butter knife on a window to possibly get prescription medications.
She was reportedly under the influence of some kind of substance.
Sloan was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
