Christian County Public Schools has once again secured the top spot in Kentucky’s Safe Schools Week pledge campaign, an initiative led by the Kentucky Center for School Safety.
This year, 4,149 students, staff, and community members across the district pledged their commitment to school safety, outpacing the next highest district by more than 1,000 pledges. The 2025 campaign, held September 8–12, centered on the theme “Focus on School Safety” and encouraged schools across the state to engage in safety discussions and reinforce safe practices.
The strong participation reflects CCPS’s continued dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for learning. It also marks the second year in a row that the district has led the state in overall pledges.
The Kentucky Center for School Safety, created by the General Assembly in 1998 in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education, works to provide districts with training, resources, and support to build and maintain secure learning environments.
CCPS leaders expressed gratitude to students, staff, and community members for their involvement, noting that school safety requires a collective effort.
