Rev. Ollie Edward Hancock, 73, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Christian County.
Rev. Ollie Hancock, the son of the late Sarah Grooms and James Hancock, Sr., was born on October 22, 1951, in Cadiz, KY. He was a member of Allen Grove Baptist Church, where he was an associate minister. Rev. Ollie Hancock was employed by the Christian County Board of Education as a Bus driver.
He enjoyed fishing, watching game shows, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by multiple siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Della Hancock; his children, Trenita Anderson (Leman), DeNessa Dickey, Eglacia Hancock, Aglacia Dickey, Juanita Bingham, and Shauntae Fletcher (Rev. Demarcus); One sibling, James Hancock, Jr.; a host of grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, James Bush; a special niece, Syrivia Cavanaugh; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Gamble Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Cadiz.
Visitation will begin on Thursday at 11:00 at the funeral home.
