Families looking for a fun fall break activity can head to Land Between the Lakes for Wolf Week at the Woodlands Nature Station, happening October 4–12.

The Nature Station is home to two endangered Red Wolves, Percy and Ember, and visitors will have the chance to learn more about these rare animals throughout the week. Each day at 1:30 p.m., the “Red Wolf Treat Time” program will showcase the wolves while highlighting ongoing conservation efforts to protect their species.

In addition to the daily wolf program, Wolf Week will feature special activities and educational programs that celebrate wolves and explore canine species from around the globe. Organizers say the event is a unique opportunity to discover why wolves have captured human imagination for generations.

The Woodlands Nature Station is located at 3146 Silver Trail Road in Cadiz, Kentucky, within the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Admission is $7 for visitors ages 16 and older, while children 15 and under can attend free.

For more details, including the full schedule of Wolf Week programs, visit landbetweenthelakes.us or call 270-924-2299.

The event is made possible through a partnership between the Friends of Land Between the Lakes and the USDA Forest Service, with support from memberships, gift shop sales, and community contributions.
