Bonnie Hester, 96, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 3:08 a.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, KY.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Living Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Todd County, KY she was born August 26, 1929 the daughter of the late John and Hazel Welch. She was a retired sales clerk and bookkeeper from Hester’s Saw Shop, where she worked with her husband Paul. She was a charter member of Living Hope Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for many years. She also taught Primary Sunday School for over 30 years. She was a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Hester; her brother; and her two sisters.
Survivors include her daughter: Paula (Eddie) Yoakum of Hopkinsville, KY; her grandson: Kenton (Hayley) Henderson; and her great grandchildren: Natalie Henderson and William Henderson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Living Hope Baptist Church or Gideons International.
