
A Mississippi, Arkansas, man was charged after a traffic stop on Interstate 169 in Christian County Sunday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Robert Williams Jr for going 19 mph over the speed limit at the 16-mile marker.
He reportedly admitted to having guns and marijuana in his possession, along with being a convicted felon. After a search, deputies say marijuana, three guns, one that had been reported stolen, and two pills believed to be ecstasy were found.
Williams was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, operating on a suspended or revoked license, speeding, and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle.
