The Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Rights Commission is preparing for its 51st Annual Unity Breakfast later this month — a yearly tradition that brings the community together in celebration of service, compassion, and connection.
The 2025 Unity Breakfast will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at the Bruce Convention Center. Doors open at 7 a.m., with the program beginning at 7:30.
Raychel Farmer, Executive Director of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Rights Commission, says tickets are still available for the event.

The Hal & Bettye Thurmond Award, presented by the Human Rights Commission, honors dedication to human relations.
Three Unity Awards — given by the mayors of Hopkinsville and Oak Grove and the Christian County Judge Executive — recognize those who contribute to the spirit of unity.
The Bernard Standard Award for Excellence, also presented by the HRC, celebrates service that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
And the Volunteer of the Year Award, from the HRC’s City of Compassion Committee, highlights outstanding community service.
