A Hopkinsville man was charged with shoplifting cigarettes from a gas station on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Sunday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for $230 worth of cigarettes being taken from the Chevron near Interstate 24, and given the description of the suspect, along with a license plate number.

The information reportedly led officers to an East 18th Street home and 25-year-old Chance Flint, who was seen getting out of the vehicle from the theft.

He was arrested, and a search of his belongings, police say, led to the cigarettes and a broken crack pipe containing suspected crack cocaine.

Flint was charged with theft by unlawful taking and possession of cocaine.
