Dollie Peal Stallons, age 88, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville, KY.
Born on March 1, 1937, in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of Roy Peal and Allie Myrtle Crouse Peal.
Dollie worked as a clerk at the old Ben Franklin store in downtown Cadiz and as a cashier at Economy Cee Bee grocery before finding her place as a longtime clerk at Discount Building Supply. In addition to her work in retail, Dollie shared the workload of cattle farming alongside her late husband Harold.
Dollie was a devoted member of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she and Harold attended for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing games on her iPad. She also loved to organize and create photo albums on her computer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Harold Stallons, who passed away on August 8, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her dear sister, Hazel Cook; her brother-in-law, Paul Stallons; and her nephew, Richard Gallimore.
She is survived by her nephews, Kenny Ray Gallimore of Hazel, KY and Jay Cook of Union City, TN; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Stallons and Janet Towler, both of Cadiz, and Dorothy Strakal of Paducah, KY; her aunt, Rebecca “Lodie” Noel of Hopkinsville, KY; and her devoted caretaker and dear friend, Gloria Mayes Thomas, who provided her with unwavering companionship and care.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2025, with Rev. Richard Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
