A report of a man and woman yelling and throwing items at each other on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove led to several charges for an Illinois man Sunday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a disturbance between 37-year-old Medina Soto and a woman. After deputies arrived, Soto reportedly refused to identify himself and attempted to walk away even after being told he was not free to go.
Deputies say they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from him, and he pulled away from deputies, slid out of his jacket, used his legs to try to lock the deputy’s leg, and tried to head butt the deputy after being tased and forced to the ground.
Deputies say he was found to have marijuana in his possession and, during the arrest, damaged the deputies’ pants by staining them.
He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, third-degree assault of a police officer, public intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and second-degree criminal mischief.
