A traffic stop on Sharpe Street for an illegible license plate led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Joe Brown due to his temporary tag being unreadable, and he was uncooperative with law enforcement.
He reportedly would not give his identifying information, the registration, or the insurance for the vehicle.
Police say his license was suspended, and the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
After a search of him and his vehicle, a bag of suspected cocaine and a small amount of marijuana were reportedly located.
Brown was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, operating on a suspended or revoked license, no registration plates, and license plate not legible
