The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce will soon begin the search for a new director after Tara Rhodes submitted her resignation earlier this week.
Chamber President Kara Allen confirmed to the News Edge Tuesday that Rhodes submitted her resignation during a Monday night meeting with the chamber board of directors. Allen said the board will meet soon and decide what they will be looking for as they work to find a new director.
Rhodes joined the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce prior to the 2024 Trigg County Country Ham Festival. She worked with the chamber to hold several ribbon cuttings through the year, a variety of lunch and learn events, the chamber annual dinner in September, and the 2nd and 3rd annual Trigg County Ham Biscuit eating contests.
Rhodes also serves as director of the 400 mile sale that stretches along US 68 from Western to Eastern Kentucky.
