The Trigg County Hospital Board of Trustees approved three IT-related purchases during Thursday evening’s meeting.

Compliance Officer Jodi Wilson said the biggest concern lately has been issues with the master server.

Wilson added that to replace the master server, the hospital must purchase a dual server system.

That server upgrade will cost over $79,000.

Wilson added that the hospital also needs to upgrade its outdated CPSI server and phone system. The combined cost of the three upgrades amounts to nearly $165,000.

Board members voted unanimously to approve all three upgrades, with work to be completed by Systems Solutions, based in Paducah.

The board also approved a purchase exceeding $207,000 for new medical equipment to replace an “end of life” body scanner in the surgery center. The current scanner, used by various departments, dates back to the center’s opening in 2015.
