A house fire on West 16th Street at the intersection of Cherry Street was severely damaged in a fire on Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says the fire started in the kitchen and caused severe damage to the home, with flames coming from a window when we arrived.
Everyone was able to get out of the home uninjured, but due to the damage, seven kids and two adults will be displaced.
Three pets were in the home at the time one was located and is uninjured; the other two have not been found.
