Harold D. Shaw, age 93, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, with his wife by his side at Christian Health Center of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Bro. Leroy Crouch officiating and burial to follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the service time at 11:30 AM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements of their loved one.
Harold was born on September 07, 1932, in the Honey Grove Community in Christian County, the son of the late Ernest A. and Katie O’Daniel Shaw. He graduated from Pembroke High School and joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served during the Korean War Era. He then went on to retire from Western State Hospital after 30 years of service as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was an active member of Lakeview Baptist Church and active lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Ernestine Craft.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Bonnie Shaw of Hopkinsville; his stepdaughter, Debbie Burgos of Olmstead, KY; his four grandchildren, Brandon (Elise) Griffey of Franklin, TN, Bonnie (Rick) Taylor of Hopkinsville, Emily Griffey of Olmstead, KY, David Burgos of Hopkinsville; his six great grandchildren, Peyton Griffey-Kirkman, Isabella Burgos, Eston Griffey, Rikki Taylor, Grace Griffey, Aiden Griffey; his three nephews, Robert Craft, Gary Craft, Harold Craft; and his two great nephews, Justin Craft and Geremy Craft.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, Hopkinsville, KY.
