A Hopkinsville nursing and rehabilitation center thanked firefighters, along with their staff, on Tuesday after a fire at their facility on October 17th.
Kendra Nelson, Director of Nursing at Bradford Heights, told the News Edge that the staff and firefighters are heroes and thanked them for their actions.
Nelson says it’s difficult for her to put into words her gratitude for her team.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Chief Steve Futrell says the staff of the facility and his firefighters worked together perfectly.
The fire on October 17th was reportedly contained to one room and started with a heating and cooling unit. Several rooms suffered smoke and water damage due to the fire, and 16 rooms had to be evacuated.
