Doris Sue Golladay, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed peacefully to Heaven on Wednesday, Nov 26, 2025 at the age of 84, surrounded by family at her home in Hopkinsville, Ky.
She was born August 27, 1941 in Trigg County, Ky. A woman of faith and conviction, she shared her love for Jesus with her children, a legacy that will last an eternity.
Known as “Moma Sue” to many, she loved hosting family in her home through the years with the famous “country cousins” gatherings following Thanksgiving, full of laughs, scavenger hunts, gifts, and games with memories to last a lifetime.
She had a kind and generous soul, serving her community many years as a registered nurse at Jennie Stuart Hospital until retiring in 2006. She shared compassion, gentleness, and excellence with every patient she encountered.
She was always up for an adventure- whether driving through the night to the beach (one of her favorite places) or rearranging furniture every month or two. (Ask the kids).
She embodied a love for family and is survived by her children; Susan Campbell (Ted), Penny Griffith, Patty MacManamy (John), David Griffith (Jennifer), Michael Young (DiAnna); her grandchildren: Danielle Gray, Brittany Coker, Susanna Sosa, Brady Campbell, Whitney Viggiano, Tori Berkowitz, Bryce MacManamy, John Blake MacManamy, Sarah Young, Michaela Overfield, Caleb Young, Stephanie Griffith, Sean Griffith, Spencer Griffith, Samantha Griffith, Sawyer Griffith, Scarlet Griffith, Scott Griffith; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles P’Pool (OKBun).
Preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Willie & Lillie P’Pool, husband, Kenneth Gant Golladay, brother, Dr Billy P’Pool, daughter, Pamela Gee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
