The Christian County Grand Jury issued several indictments Friday, including cases of wanton endangerment and drug trafficking.

A true bill was returned on Keith Warner of Clarksville on numerous charges including first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), first-degree wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

On October 28, Warner is accused of leading state police on a pursuit after an attempted traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Police said the chase continued on several city streets and ended when his vehicle ran into a ditch at the intersection of Cox Mill Road and Pardue Lane.

Andrew Roper of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, was indicted on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol with an aggravator, reckless driving, failure of the owner to maintain required insurance, operating on a suspended or revoked license, improper passing, failure to signal, and speeding.

The charges stem from a November 2 pursuit in which state police said that Roper fled after they attempted to stop him for speeding on Interstate 169 in Christian County.

Police said Roper eventually stopped after exiting at Exit 86 onto Interstate 24.

The grand jury indicted Christopher Goode of Hopkinsville on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (opiates), two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and trafficking marijuana.

The charges stem from September 25, when Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said they stopped Goode on Canton Street and smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

During a search, deputies said they found 4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 5 Lortab pills, and 18 grams of marijuana, along with Demerol, Xanax, and Clonidine.
