As Christian County Fiscal Court closes the 2025 calendar year soon, magistrates and Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam have plans to discuss legislative and budget priorities heading into 2026.
During this past Tuesday’s special-called session — after a busy Chamber Eye-Opener Breakfast and ribbon-cutting for Toyota Boshoku — Gilliam affirmed the next two weeks will be spent fine-tuning this list of needs and wants, before bringing everything to the open table.
This includes, but is not limited to:
+ Continued Commerce Park II investment;
+ Critical water projects through Oak Grove and the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, as well as the Christian County Water District;
+ A facelift for Western Hills Municipal Golf Course;
+ KY 115 improvements;
+ And conversation starters around the revealed drawings of downtown and Alhambra Theatre renovations;
This year’s final meeting is 8:30 AM Tuesday, December 23.
