A Hopkinsville man was charged with criminal abuse of a child during an argument with the child’s mother on Calvin Drive on Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Montray Bibbs got into an argument with the child’s mother, then took the infant child, who was only wearing a diaper, and fled the home.
Several agencies were reportedly called to help find the child and Bibbs, who were later found at a gas station.
Police say the child and Bibbs were not injured due to the cold but were checked out by EMS.
Bibbs was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse.
