A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his daughter at a store on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville on Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 50-year-old Julian Bell got into an argument with his daughter, then chased her behind the businesses, pushed her to the ground, hit her in the stomach, attempted to stomp her head into the concrete, picked her up, and threw her, causing her to hit the concrete before she got away.
She was then reportedly able to get inside a business and get help to call law enforcement. Bell called law enforcement as well, stating she had assaulted him, but after reviewing surveillance video, police say Bell was arrested.
His daughter was taken to the hospital by Hopkinsville EMS for several injuries. Bell is charged with second-degree assault.
