A magistrate for Trigg County’s District 5 the last seven-plus years, Alana Baker Dunn announced on social media Monday she will not run for re-election in 2026.
Dunn said she made her decision public after considerable inquiry, but that she had been “very blessed” to serve Trigg County — having felt support along the way.
At this time, no one has revealed intent to run and lead the Roaring Springs, West Montgomery, South Cadiz No. 2 area, but Dunn said she would be willing to talk about the role with anyone interested.
An owner/operator of River Bend Farms, Dunn plans to remain active in both the Cadiz Rotary Club and Trigg County’s school-based decision-making groups, while pursuing other endeavors.
